This will be a new build, based upon a proven commercial hull & systems.
The way we approach a new build is that we find a similar commercial hull that has already been built in a series by a reputable commercial shipyard. At the outset, we know the basic hull and systems cost. The engineering, tank tests and  proof of concept is then a baseline. With the shipyard bid price established, we then do our budget estimates on 'converting' the original design and engineering to conform to our expedition yacht design. The result is a new world-class expedition yacht delivered at a commercial vessel price.
